About the Role

Will be responsible for the planning of all events – Turnaround (TA) and Campaign work.


This role is responsible for the delivery of planning all activities for event scope including added work, campaign work, in SAP Blueprint and Primavera. Ensure that plans are current and ready for the execution of TA/Campaign events. Works with TA Block Coordinator to develop an execution plan. Will Provide direction and mentorship for planners. Must be intimately familiar with all TA/Campaign work processes. Will assist in setting planning priorities for campaign events. Responsible for supporting schedule readiness during execution.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Ensure field verification of approved work scope submissions. Work with other planners to develop detailed plans and work activities in SAP Blueprint that will be brought into Primavera via an interface. Support Master Scheduler to ensure proper resource allocation, estimated hours, coding requirements etc. Confirms all work list items are in Primavera.
  • Ensures work plans developed by planners are fit for purpose and are integrated into the overall project file with correct logic and coding.
  • Works with project team to ensure project scope is fully integrated into a single TA event within Primavera.
  • Accountable for Work List Revision plans ensuring they are complete and integrated into the Primavera schedule.
  • Lead scope challenge sessions, ensuring scope criteria is met. Monitor change requirements within the scope; inform and support T/A coordinator or T/A Event Manager on managing these changes; work with Operation and relevant Technical Authorities or engineering discipline engineers.
  • Ensures environmental plan (waste disposal, vac trucks, etc.) is developed as per the milestone plan.
  • Develops and maintains planning tracker for all events.
  • Update planning status for campaign maintenance events using the endorsed tracking tool (i.e NaviTrack).
  • Develops and understands critical path and near critical path jobs, and the ability to highlight potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide data to Event Manager and Coordinators to drive business decisions.
  • Ensures crafts are highly productive by removal of barriers.
  • Support Master Scheduler to create logical network of activities through a standard Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) in primavera.
  • Oversees schedule updating during execution.
  • Produces logic diagrams and summary bar charts.
  • Must understand and is responsible for the practical application of the AMS process.
  • Oversee materials ordered and packages developed. Verify all material and services are complete (Requisition and Purchase Order) and ready for execution. Verifies all bulk material and services are ordered.
  • Assist in preparing logistics plan for assigned area.
  • Works with scheduling Team to complete TAR Review, schedule mechanic checks, etc.
  • Assist in developing event estimate by providing Direct Field Labor hours, overheads, materials, services, equipment, etc. (Per estimate deliverables)
  • Ensures review and buy-in of the integrated schedule with key stakeholders, including contractors.
  • Assist with training LNGC and Contractor personnel on working with primavera and SAP Blueprint.
  • Assist with training LNGC and Contractor personal on the schedule updating process.
  • Assist Event Coordinators and actively participate in Tabletop Exercise (TTX) for critical schedule activities.
  • Ensures compliance to plant orders, policies and procedures including, MOC, quality, and work addenda processes.
  • Turnaround KPIs: Support continuous improvement in achieving T/A KPIs
  • Provides feedback of event activities after completion of project, participates in Lessons Learned and Lookback process.
  • Look for opportunities to optimize event scope, plan and execute with low-cost mindset.
  • Turnaround budgets: Support cost management initiative where applicable.
  • Assist TA/Campaign Master Scheduler in developing and maintaining the TA Planning/Scheduling premise.

To be successful, you will have:


  • Post Secondary education in technical discipline or Journeyperson in industrial trade with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in industrial setting with at least 7 years, in planning, Mastery capabilities.
  • Minimum 5 years of Turnaround planning.
  • Strong Scheduling experience
  • Ability to effectively discuss and correspond with engineering, Maintenance disciplines and/or contractors to ascertain and understand pertinent information concerning schedules, scopes of work, estimates and/or project costs.
  • Knowledge of other disciplines deliverable development to ensure coordination of efforts.
  • Ability to develop a cost estimate, a detailed engineering schedule and a man-hour budget for a small project or an area for a larger project.
  • Ability to determine material quantities.
  • Experienced in estimating and scheduling service hours and assessing the progress and quality of project controls work.
  • Ability to accurately estimate completion of assigned tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project scheduling software. Mastery capability
  • Ability to manage data and using SAP, Power BI at a skill level.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
