Job description

Axestone Capital is a firm that specializes in mortgage banking solutions for complex real estate financing projects. We are a small but busy team of real estate finance experts who work collaboratively toward company and individual successes through providing value to our clients. The majority of our business is real estate development in the lower mainland, but we finance all types of real estate throughout BC. We are looking for a responsible, experienced, results-oriented individual to join our team as we grow.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Degree in real estate, economics, finance, or related field
  • 2 years+ experience in the commercial mortgage industry
  • Proficient in business software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Dropbox
  • Mortgage Broker in BC Licensing Course an asset / obtaining it will be encouraged
  • Familiar with BCFSA regulations

Job Description:

  • Prepare loan request summaries and due diligence packages, including financial models
  • Liaise with lenders and occasionally clients (license-dependent)
  • Understand and apply standards for data management and client confidentiality
  • Coordinate between consultants and external professionals in regard to real estate financing
  • Research and apply market data to aid in financial analysis
  • Oversee loan funding processes and any post-funding or ongoing conditions
  • Light bookkeeping, coordinated with an external Chartered Professional Accountant
  • Some administrative tasks such as arranging couriers or ordering business cards
  • Other duties as required
