Hours of Work: 75 hours biweekly, plus on-call obligations

The James Paton Memorial Health Centre is in Gander, central Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Gander is great community with an airport and all modern daily amenities.
Definition of work:
The physician will join a Urology program with one other urologist. The urologist will be responsible for inpatient/outpatient urology services, elective and emergency surgeries as well as on-call duties.
Call requirements are 1:2 Monday to Thursday during work hours and 1:4 for after hours and weekend call. After hours and weekend coverage includes both the Central and Western Health regions and duties are shared with the Urology program at Western Health.
The successful candidate will be committed to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements.
Education & Experience:
Medical Degree with specialist training in Urology. Applicants should have residency training completed in either of the following countries: in Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland OR South Africa.
Fluent in English
Eligible for registration and license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
