SalaryPosition Title: Heavy Equipment Operator (Mining Operations) - 7x7
Salary Range: $42/Hour + Over-time ($49/hr over a 12 hour day)
For our client, a growing Mine Operation, we are on the hunt for a Heavy Equipment Operator. Our client operates on a 7x7 basis. We require an experienced multi-equipment operator (Graders, Shovels, Excavators, Dozers, Haul Trucks, etc.) If you are interested and available please apply - we require someone available asap.
Pay rates are $42/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day (work weeks are 12 hours per day x 7 days) plus travel expenses, camp accomodations and food/meals (rates include Vacation Pay and Stat Holidays)
We are looking for those individuals with a strong work ethic and a good employment track-record and a demonstrated safety record
Main Accountabilities:
- Operate heavy equipment machinery, Excavators, Grader, Shovel, Dozers, Loaders, Haul Trucks
- Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
Main Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience operating heavy equipment
- Thorough knowledge of the safe operation of the equipment
- Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work independently and with little supervision
- Previous fly-in/fly-out experience an asset
- Must be able to identify hazards and perform the role in a safe manner
- Must also possess an understanding of the issues regarding safety and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment
CERTIFICATIONS or Credentials
- All of the below are assets to have - we will review on a case by case basisCSTS-09 or Other Safety Training
- Valid Class 5 license or related/equivalent with a clean drivers abstract
- Valid Ground Disturbance Level 2 or related training
- Heavy Equipment Operators Certificate
