About the Role
The Utility Team Member supports the facility personnel with routine cleaning, waste disposal, and overall preventative maintenance of equipment and building facilities required to standard. Must routinely perform work independently and be able to work in an environment with many distractions while still maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety when performing their duties.
Your Responsibilities
• Auto sweep and scrub plant floor and aisles (Zamboni)
• Auto Scrub (Zamboni) and mop main walkway – north wall
• Clean dome mirrors on a rotating schedule to complete all mirrors monthly.
• Clean office windows monthly
• Clean/pain handrails
• Empty all Waste and recycling receptacles in the plant and remove waste to a designated area for disposal daily.
• Sweep floor and empty waste and ashtrays in smoke shelter daily.
• Remove waste and cardboard daily.
• Performs operations in a manner consistent with Modatek’ s objectives for safety, quality, responsiveness, and cost to meet customer and company specifications (SPQP)
• Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (i.e., TS16949, ISO140001)
• Practice and promote continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities.
• Adhere to Modatek’ s core values, integrity, respect trust, honesty, fairness, and loyalty.
• Follow Magna’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and related compliance policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Performs general equipment maintenance functions such as cleaning basic mechanical and safety checks
Who we are looking for
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
• Basic Math and English, with proven ability to read written instructions.
• Good organizational, interpersonal, and problem and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality.
• Able to learn and perform basic trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Ability to work independently, without supervision.
• Must pass all training designated for the operation of equipment such as forklift, man lift etc.
• Working knowledge of safety standards of equipment
• Demonstrated basic mechanical knowledge.

Candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check and, if deemed necessary, a Credit Check as part of the candidate selection process.
