Vacuum Truck and Water Truck Operators for various projects in Alberta and BC (travel provided from Calgary or Lac la Biche)
****Must hold valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, H2S Alive, and CSO certificates***
We’re looking for experienced, reliable, and professional Vacuum Truck Operatorsto join the Movac Team! Our team provides safe and efficient fluid services for both construction and oilfield drilling and completions projects.
$450+winter $50 per day for Vacuum Truck Operators
$350+winter $50 per day for Water Truck Operators
Winter Season (Approximately Early January 2023 to End of March 2023)
*High possibility of year-round work; Seasonal to start with potential to move to full-time with benefits after that*

VACUUM TRUCK OPERATOR
$500 per day including daily performance bonus
Summary of Position
Our vacuum Truck Operators are accountable for the safe operation of the vacuum truck collecting and transporting cement for our Fort McMurray drilling rig clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring the safety of the team by applying a safety-first approach to all tasks performed
- Operates vacuum truck and associated equipment in a safe manner
- Performs pre-and post trip inspections, including proper load securement of hoses and other equipment
- Responsible for transporting, loading and offloading fluids at various locations, including land spreading
- Performs all work safely and completes all required safety paperwork
- Follows Movac’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Assists with preparing and cleaning equipment for maintenance personnel including basic mechanical maintenance of unit
- Maintains all required documentation in an orderly manner (daily log book, pre/post trips, pre-job hazard assessments, etc.)
WATER TRUCK OPERATOR
$400 a day including daily performance bonus
Summary of Position
Our Water Truck Operators provide safe and efficient water services for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate your assigned Water Truck at various client sites while complying with all safe work practices, policies, and standard operating processes.
- Actively participate in hazard identification and complete all associated paperwork.
- Perform proper pre-and post-trip inspections, routine maintenance, and basic repairs
- Understand load securement, hours of service regulations and can maintain a logbook
- Communicate with the team, cross-shifts, supervisors, and logistics.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Be Fit for Duty for scheduled work as this is a safety-sensitive position.
Experience & Qualifications
- Class 3 or 1 driver's license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating a Vacuum Truck
- Must hold valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, H2S Alive, and CSO certificates
- Able to work in a safety conscious environment with minimal supervision
- Possesses basic maintenance knowledge and can troubleshoot
- Positive, reliable team player. Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- A pre-employment drug and alcohol test will be required as this is a safety sensitive position
Experience & Qualifications
- Class 3 or Class 1 license with a clean driver’s abstract required.
- Must hold valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, H2S Alive, and CSO certificates
- Previous driving experience with 18 speed manual transmissions a must
- Minimum of 1 year experience operating a Water Truck
- Vac Truck experience considered an asset
- Able to work in a safety conscious environment with minimal supervision.
- Possesses basic maintenance knowledge and can troubleshoot
- Positive, reliable team player. Flexible and able to adapt to change.
Hours of work (Rotation)
- Rotating schedules of 2 weeks on, 1 off. There is some flexibility in rotation schedule when required.
- 12 hour shifts
- Day shifts for 2 weeks, one week off, night shifts for 2 weeks, one week off.
