Van Delivery Driver Contract

Our company is a well established Small Moves & Delivery Service company located in Niagara Falls, and catering to clients all over Ontario. Most of our deliveries are single items, we we also provide moving service of multiple items, or whatever fits in our Vans. We travel to many cities in Ontario, and on average, our moving service is about 1hr before moving on to next job.

Job Description

We are seeking a Contract Driver (Mover) position to fulfill our overspills and fill in void jobs.

We provide the vehicle, and pay you $20 to $25 per hour on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Earn between 15 - 40hrs per week.

We are providing a great opportunity to work towards full time and a managerial position for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate (independent contractor) must have a good driving record, G license, and physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs, well mannered and service oriented. Heavy smokers or drinkers won't last.

Moving Services:

- Small moves only – nothing too heavy or too large. On avg. most of our moves are 1hr.

- Assist other mover with uploading furniture, appliances, boxes, and loose items – into and off truck, and off load inside residential and commercial buildings

- Carrying items up or down stairs, using dollies and ramps, packing and strapping items

- Polite and extremely careful with carrying items, no damaging walls, floors, or items themselves. Training provided.

- Clean out vans and pre ready for next day

Delivery Services:

- Maintain a clean driving record. Driving both Vans, Ford Transit, high roof and med size roof.

- Filling up with gas (company card), checking tires, doing circle cheques, logging reports

- Travel to all parts of Ontario, mostly Niagara Region, but also to Hamilton, and Toronto.

Qualifications

- Must be willing to learn and be trained.

- Positive attitude, customer service friendly, and helpful

- Physically and healthy, able to lift up to 50lbs

- No to heavy smokers, Yes to non-smokers or light smokers.

- Reliable and trustworthy

- Clean driving record (will be asking for abstract)

- Our location is in Niagara Falls, cant be late for a schedule job, need to start and end in Niagara Falls.
