Johnson Advisory is a corporate finance firm based in Regina, SK and is a seeking a VP Finance for full-time employment. Johnson Advisory provides corporate financial advisory services specializing in mergers & acquisitions and business restructuring. It also manages strategic partnerships in the agriculture, real estate, construction and hospitality sectors.
The VP Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finance requirements of several of its partner companies which include Drake Meats, Can Pro Ingredients and Deer Valley Golf Club.
This will include managing accounting staff. Specific responsibilities include:
Overseeing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
Preparing budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, consolidating financial data and recommending plans.
Providing status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
Preparing special reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Maintaining financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training and overseeing employees, including: coaching, planning, monitoring and appraising job performance.
Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
This is a full-time position and the VP Finance will be based in Regina with some travel expected to attend the offices of partner companies to manage their respective accounting functions. A competitive salary, employee benefits and a golf membership will be provided to the VP Finance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
CPA designation preferred
Minimum 10-15 years experience in accounting/finance
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Experience with financial software
