Description

Supervise visits between children and parents and family members in an office setting/or in a community setting. Document parent/child interaction by paying close attention to healthy and unhealthy behavioral patterns. Gather information from case workers, social workers, children, parents, relatives, schools, and other resources to assist in planning visits on a regular basis. This position includes scheduling, transporting and face to face supervision. The target population to be served are those families and children involved with the Ministry of Social Services Child and Family Services. Services may be provided in conjunction with a home-based family program with utilizes a strength-based solution- focused model (In Home Family Support). This position requires flexibility, working sometimes evenings and weekends.
Provide positive feedback and parenting couching during the visit to assist with healthy interactions between parent and child.
Maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
Preform any other ancillary duties as may be assigned by the Administrator or Executive Director on an hoc basis.
Minimum Grade 12 academic completed with at least 2 years experience in a relevant field or have experience in observing interactions between parent/children or a similar role.
