The Role

Let's cut to the chase - we're looking for someone with exceptional leadership and performance marketing skills and experience. This role is full time, Monday - Friday. We are a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) with optional remote days (Wednesday, Friday). There is potential for this to be a remote position but we have a preference for you to be located in the Kelowna area and be able to reliably commute into the office downtown Kelowna in the Innovation Center.

Salary Range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000

Your Responsibilities

As a direct report to the CEO, leading a growing team, your role will revolve around instilling accountability, ownership, and exceptional performance. Your main goal will be to devise and implement performance marketing strategies aimed at boosting demand, acquiring customers, fostering engagement and loyalty, and driving revenue growth. This position demands a data-driven mindset, expertise in digital marketing, proficiency in data analysis, a competitive edge, and a track record of optimizing campaigns to achieve tangible outcomes.

As a VP of Marketing at Minga, you will:

  • Develop and execute the marketing plan to generate qualified leads and demo bookings through a multitude of channels.
  • Build and manage our marketing team and culture.
  • Sit at the leadership table and help create and manage Minga’s vision, targets and strategy.
  • Set exciting but achievable targets and measure performance with clear and consistent metrics.
  • Be curious and active in how AI will accelerate and enhance both the marketing and company strategy and plans.
  • Create and manage a content plan demonstrating thought and market leadership via web, webinars, events and maybe even print.
  • Support and enhance a culture of accountability, support, positivity and winning.
  • Cultivate partnerships with sales, customer success, and product teams to drive enterprise-level sales, expansions, and retention.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and practices to drive innovation and ensure compliance.
  • Foster productive partnerships with external vendors, agencies, and collaborators to optimize campaign effectiveness and efficiency.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field; a master's degree is advantageous.
  • 5-10 years of exceeding SAAS B2B demand gen targets in high-growth environments; k12 education technology is a bonus.
  • Proficient in building and motivating marketing teams and plans.
  • Hands-on experience in B2B marketing, preferably in k12 education technology.
  • Proven track record in devising and executing cost-effective performance marketing strategies for customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Ability to generate real leads & demos including, but not limited to, the following channels: email marketing, webinars, organic, paid, customer marketing (for expansion), field events, trade shows.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics for tracking and optimizing campaign performance.
  • Ability to leverage data-driven insights to optimize marketing campaigns and enhance return on investment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional project management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines and handling multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
