Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Job Purpose
The VP Product and Market Development will
conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate these insights into actionable product strategies and requirements.
Requirements
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product development, launch, and lifecycle management
• Experience in monitoring industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the RF design software industry, and proactively identifying potential impacts and opportunities for the product line
• Demonstrated history of tracking and analyzing market performance metrics, such as sales revenue, market share, customer acquisition, and customer satisfaction, and provide regular reports and insights to senior management
Responsibilities
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities for RF design software products, including emerging technologies and industries where the software can be applied
• Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate new markets, expand customer base, and increase market share for RF design software products
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, industry influencers, and strategic partners to drive market awareness and generate business leads
• Develop long-term product line strategies, including product diversification, expansion into new markets, and strategic partnerships, to drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage
• Execute product line strategies, including product roadmap, pricing, positioning, and go-to-market plans, to drive revenue growth and Market share for RF design software products
