660 sqf , 165 white Thassos 60x60x2cm marble tiles to be laid in condo.
Preference given to newcomers to Canada such as immigrants from Ukraine.
We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of tile flooring. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation, possess excellent hand tool skills, and have a strong attention to detail. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for creating beautiful tile work, we want to hear from you.
```Duties```
- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled
- Prepare surfaces by removing old flooring or debris
- Mix and apply mortar or adhesive to secure tiles in place
- Cut tiles to fit around obstacles and create desired patterns
- Align and straighten tiles using levels, squares, and other measuring tools
- Apply grout between tiles and remove excess grout
- Clean and polish installed tiles
- Repair or replace damaged tiles as needed
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Experience in flooring installation, particularly tile laying
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as tile cutters and trowels
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or specifications
- Strong attention to detail and precision in tile placement
- Knowledge of different tile materials and their properties
- Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during installation
- Physical stamina to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials
