ABOUT YOU
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess good communication skills, and be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of items received and ensuring they are properly documented in the inventory management system.
- Verify and inspect received goods for defects or damages.
- Safely and efficiently store received products in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organization and accessibility.
- Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring they are properly labeled, packaged, and staged for pickup or delivery.
- Utilize warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, to move and transport products as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and participate in cycle counting activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, including keeping aisles clear and following housekeeping procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with other warehouse duties and special projects as assigned by management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
MUST HAVES
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, preferred.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory management systems or software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
