Warehouse Associate

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Associate to join our team in our Ajax branch, located at 655 Finley Ave., Ajax, ON.!

The Opportunity:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am-5:00pm

*Wage commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and pack orders for loading and shipping. Double check all picked orders for accuracy of count and type of material.
• Assist with receiving tasks, verify stock and place material in appropriate locations designated by the Receiving Report.
• Load Company vehicles/trucks when all material is ready for delivery to ensure prompt and accurate deliveries and to ensure all material loaded is secured and safe for delivery.
• Responsible to maintain a safe and clean warehouse and counter area for other employees and customers by keeping aisles and shelves clear of objects and/or potential dangers.
• Use and maintain material handling equipment (i.e. Forklift, Pump truck, etc.) in a safe manner and inform supervisor immediately of any problems with equipment.
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
• Execute all other duties as required by the position and/or requested by the immediate supervisor.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1-2 Years' experience in a warehouse setting, picking/packing orders
• Previous forklift experience, Reach truck preferred
• Working at Heights/Fall Arrest Training an asset
• Comfortable with physical work including lifting, carrying and moving (up to 50lbs)
• Strong written and verbal communication (in English)
• Detail-oriented
• Basic mathematical skills (i.e. Counting)
• Safety conscious
• Ability to work well individually or as a team player
