Warehouse Clerk

Perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, the following:

- Utilizing forklift and/or electric pallet jack for loading & unloading shipments on a regular basis

- Receiving

• Inspect incoming shipments to verify contents and quantities match purchase order & bill of lading/packing slip
• Perform quality checks on condition of incoming material prior to signing off on shipment
• Problem solve in situations of missing documents, shipments, products on shipments, etc.
• Process required paperwork to receive inventory into computer system

- Shipping

• Coordinate and schedule deliveries with customers based on installation schedules
• Securely load deliveries
• Generate pick tickets for all material leaving the warehouse. Verify that the material on the pick ticket is the material delivered/loaded into vehicle.
• Use the carpet cutting machine to cut larger rolls to specified lengths.
• Stage orders in advance whenever possible
• Coordinate freight pickups with shipping companies
• Make deliveries with company vehicle as required

- Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels of products that are stocked, advising purchasing when stock levels need to be replenished
• Properly tag inventory based on color coded system
• Participate in inventory cycle and yearend counts
• Coordinate inventory returns to suppliers
• Sort non-returnable inventory into lots of resale

- Administrative Tasks & Maintenance

• Follow opening & closing procedures for warehouse on daily basis
• Utilize computer programs for tracking of incoming & outgoing shipments
• Provided backup support to scheduler as required
• Monitor inventory of shipping supplies, ordering as needed
• Tidy & clean the warehouse
• Monitor levels in garbage & recycle bins, arranging pickup as needed
• Keep the forklift charge at an appropriate level
• Maintain safe workspace

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $38,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
