Job Summary:
As a Warehouse Clerk, you will ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse facility along with your team. Your responsibilities will include packaging, shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products in and out of the warehouse, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or invoices;
- Inspect received goods for any damages or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel;
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system and assign appropriate storage locations;
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labelling items according to shipping instructions;
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse storage areas;
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of stock levels;
- Assist in fulfilling orders by retrieving items from inventory and preparing them for shipment;
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to coordinate efficient workflow and prioritize tasks;
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment;
- Perform other related duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma;
- Certification or training in forklift operation;
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment preferred;
- Experience working with barcode scanners and RF scanners;
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software or inventory tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if required);
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement;
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed;
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within a warehouse setting;
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies;
Physical Demands:
- The position may require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds;
- Warehouse Fulfillment Clerks may also be required to stand, walk, or bend for extended periods;
Work Environment:
The work environment is typically indoors within a warehouse facility, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and loud noises. Proper safety equipment and procedures are provided to ensure a safe working environment.
