Warehouse Counter Coordinator
With your experience in a warehouse environment, and excellent organizational skills, you will be responsible for communication with our client regarding shipment delivery and back orders.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will ensure our client is kept up to date regarding all shipment deliveries and back orders.
Position Responsibilities
· Ensure the customers is kept up to date regarding shipment and back-orders
· Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone in a timely manner
· Ensure customer service levels are met and exceed expectations
· Participate in decision making regarding where to store goods
· Ensure Care & Preservation of Materials is carried out for the longevity of material
· Ensure high standards of housekeeping is always maintained within the Warehouse
· Participate in decision making on how to position a load so its weight will be distributed
· Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues or material spills
· Identify problem areas and make suggestions for improvement
· Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments
Minimum Qualifications
· Valid driver's license
· Minimum of high school education or equivalent
· Ability to work under minimal supervision
· Previous warehouse experience
· Forklift certification and competency assessment
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
· Excellent record keeping skills
· WHMIS Certification
· Diligence in relation to health, safety, environment and quality
· Excellent customer relations skills with ability to communicate at all levels
· Ability to plan and organize workload and track completion, being flexible to cope with changing priorities.
· Maintain a strong focus on service delivery
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
· Willing to work extra shifts/hours during shutdown/turnaround
Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
· Knowledge and understanding of HSEQ standards
· Knowledge of ASCO operating policies and procedures
· Knowledge of purchase order processing and simple procurement
· Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and Excel
HSSEQ
· In partnership with management and the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations, and industry standards/codes
· Report all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager
· Fully endorse the ASCO ‘Stop the Job’ policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed
