Business Overview

Wrist is the world’s leading ship and offshore supplier. We provide a global 24/7/365 service offering, including handling of owners’ goods, shipping, airfreight and related marine and offshore services that meet the demands of both multi-national organisations as well as small local businesses.

The main position that is avilable is for a general warehouse picker. This will be picking food items onto pallets to be sent to the crew of the many ships we serve.

Here is a list of some additional tasks you could expect to perform during the course of the workday:

• Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers, as well as collect empty pallets and stack them neatly

• Pick appropriate cases according to the picking list

• Safely operate a forklift after we provide you training and you obtain certification

• Assist in loading trucks for delivery

• Receive and distribute product and assist in monthly product inventory

• General housekeeping and specific sanitation tasks as required (e.g. you will be asked to sweep the floor, collect plastic wrap, take out the trash, etc.)

• Lift objects that weigh anywhere between 15 pounds and 80 pounds (i.e. anything from a bottle of ketchup to a frozen pig) with or without a reasonable accommodation

Whether you are experienced or not, please be sure that you meet the following minimum requirements prior to starting your application:

• You are 18 years of age or older

• You will be required to work Monday to Friday, and possible overtime

• You can lift 15 to 80 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

• You are able to stand and walk for extended periods of time with or without a reasonable accommodation

• You are able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods with or without a reasonable accommodation

• You are able to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products with or without a reasonable accommodation

• You are willing and able to work in an environment that has extreme temperatures (Our warehouse has a large Freezer and Cooler along with our Room temperature warehousing area)

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

• Burnaby, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
• Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
