Job description

Overview:
Ensuring an emphasis on team collaboration while ensuring quality brand standards.
Plan, organize and motivate employees toward achieving company goals in serving customers (stores or third Party) with maximum quality products in a Food Production Facility.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the warehouse team with the right examples.
  • Administrative work such as updating the daily Receiving Log and tracking the Merchandising Report.
  • Receiving Product verification vs PO on a daily basis including PO submission.
  • Submitting the PO to third Party daily.
  • Assisting Warehouse supervisor in daily Inventory Control including Coordination of Daily Delivery Schedule.
  • Ability to train new employees while ensuring all Policies and Procedures are being met.
  • Provide training to all Shipper and Receivers as required.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee hygiene and GMP Practices are being followed according to SOP and Brand standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring all Health and Safety Regulations and Requirements are being followed and met daily.
  • Must demonstrate above average Problem-Solving skills to provide solution focused outcomes within the warehouse.
  • Prepare and Plan for the launch of new product, promotion, and preparation for the production teams.
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly calls as required by the FC Manager.
  • Responsible for monitoring workflow in all production areas. This must include implementation of the updated HCAAP plan.
  • Ensure all warehouse equipment is working properly and in good functioning order which includes Forklifts, Pallet Jacks and Docking Stations.
  • Responsible for updating MSDS monthly and attending the Health and Safety Meetings Monthly.
  • Ensure all products are kept at the required safe temperature guidelines while receiving and shipping.
  • Monitory daily Inventory and Write Off Controls including FIFO standards.
  • Ensuring Safe working environment by monitoring all safety standards inside the warehouse.
  • Effectively lead your team while promoting our Leadership Qualities.
  • Position may require other job duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
  • Supervise team in the absence of Warehouse supervisor.
  • Ability to evaluate team member job performance.
  • Reporting to the Health and Safety Committee of any safety concerns.
  • Report to Assistant Manager of Food Center.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent
  • Relative experience including Warehouse Supervisory Experience
  • Supervisor skills and experience
  • Communication skills
  • demonstrates leadership.
  • ability to effectively train other team members.
  • Must hold Valid Forklift Certification
  • Must Hold Valid Standard First Aid Certification

Basic Computer Skills including Excel Knowledge.

Equipment- Fax, copier, wrapping machine, slicing machine.

PHYSICAL EFFORT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to work in Cold environment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. to a max of 50 lbs.

INNOVATION:

Original and innovative thinking is used to develop methods and procedures related to food service management. For example: training support staff on computer systems, development of new label design with legal requirements for food service, accounting procedures to identify cost of goods and other financial data not readily available in statements. Results of innovation typically affect an aspect of the food service business throughout Canada.

Would be beneficial to find better methods of production to increase efficiency.
