Warehouse Loader - Day Shift, Full Time

The warehouse support role is critical to Atlantic Express Canada because you will be preparing orders to be delivered to our clients. You will be receiving, preparing and loading: packages, vehicles, boats, and goods of all kind into the shipping containers.

What you'll be working on:

• Package boxes onto pallets (55 LB/25 Kg per box on average)
• Operate a wireless handheld barcode scanner
• Prepare cargo for sea and air shipment
• Load and brace cargo into a sea shipping container
• Document incoming and outgoing cargo
• Keep the working area clean and neat

Required Skills & Qualification:

• Permanent resident or Canadian citizen (permitted to work in Canada)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (35kg) without assistance
• Drivers license (would be considered an asset)
• Proficiency in English: speak, read and write
• Must be able to work well with others
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Responsible and attend to details
• Team player with positive attitude
• Punctuality and good time management
• Forklift certificate (would be considered an asset)
• Warehouse experience (would be considered an asset)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Comfortable working inside truck trailers and package delivery vehicles and staying longer than the usual shift hours depending on the operational needs and shipment volume

Salary: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
