Warehouse Operator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inventory management;
- Pick and pack jobs for the installation teams;
- Pick and pack jobs for the electricians;
- Operate forklift in a safe manner;
- Receive shipments/materials;
- Ensure property, both the warehouse and parking lot are organized, clean and free of debris;
- Assist with fleet management as requested;
- Pick up material from suppliers;
- Deliver equipment to crews as needed; and
- Ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Relevant construction experience, preferably in the solar industry is an asset;
- Previous experience working in a warehouse is preferred;
- Experience operating a forklift;
- Forklift Operator Certification license;
- Strong ability to take initiative and work independently;
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate packing of jobs;
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse;
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks in a fast-paced environment;
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable drivers abstract ;
- Ability to learn and understand new material and technical concepts;
- Proficiency in English is required;
- Criminal record check is required;
- Valid Safety Training Certificates (WHMIS) an asset; and
- Certified CPR and First Aid are an asset;
