The Warehouse Order Picker will be primarily responsible for assisting the warehouse staff in picking, packing, invoicing and shipping of customer orders. A close working relationship with the Business
Administration Manager will be required. This is a Permanent Full Time Position. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Distribution Supervisor.
This position will be based at our warehouse location on Oxford Street London, Ontario.
Accountabilities
1. Picking/ Packing of customer Orders
- Assist with the daily orders as required. The sales orders are picked and the checked for accuracy (lot numbers, quantities, bin locations, etc.) prior to being packed. Orders are then invoiced by the designated associate. Invoiced orders are then ready to be shipped.
- Ship all orders placed by 12:00pm EST each day (some exemptions may apply). Shipments are entered into a Purolator terminal and labels are generated.
- Communicating any inventory issues (LOT#/quantity discrepancies, etc.) that arise to the Warehouse Distribution Supervisor immediately.
2. Item Assembly
- A certain percentage of products require item assembly from raw/bulk material into finished kits.
- Assembly is to be completed according to guidelines documented in the item assembly binder and the Quality policy manual.
3. Ongoing Tasks
- Daily refilling of product bins to ensure readiness for next day.
- Maintaining awareness of warehouse supplies (boxes, packing paper, etc.) and communicating with Warehouse Distribution Supervisor when re-ordering is necessary.
- Assisting in other pertinent tasks as they arise and are delegated.
- Responsible for assisting with Year End Inventory counts.
- General maintenance and organization of warehouse.
- General "seasonal" maintenance as required i.e.) shoveling front and back entrances, salting
4. ISO Procedural Knowledge:
Applicable job-related ISO Procedures as outlined in the ISO training matrix. All ISO training is maintained and administered by the ISO Management Representative.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience, retail or other
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes)
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects; and to lift up to 20lbs repetitively
- Understanding of customs and shipping internationally an asset
- Minimum Grade 12, College level in related field preferred
- ISO Procedural Knowledge an asset
- Ability to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
