What you'll do:

• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and sorting incoming shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory levels within the warehouse.
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labelling items accurately.
• Checking orders and wrapping the shipments according to Altek’s shipping standards, reporting discrepancies to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space, including sweeping, washing floors, cutting skids, and taking out the garbage as required.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles as needed.
• Ensure all customers and truck drivers have been assisted in a timely, professional, and friendly manner.
• Preparing shipment area to transfer product.
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods to and from designated locations.
• Follow planned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and in compliance with customer requirements.
• Verify contents of delivery loads against shipping papers.
• Obtain signatures upon delivery, when required.
• Perform essential vehicle maintenance such as refueling and routine inspections.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transportation.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, colleagues, and customers regarding delivery schedules, inventory status, and any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient warehouse operations.

• Adhering to all best practices and company safety requirements.
• Make deliveries with a company vehicle as assigned.
• Other duties as required.

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma or GED I preferred.
• Experience working in a warehouse setting is is considered an asset.
• Experience in the valve and/or oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
• Forklift certification is considered an asset.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license and good driving record is required.
• Basic mathematical skills with the ability to weigh and measure shipments accurately.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks as required.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting of up to 100 lbs., with knowledge of safe lifting methods.
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Self-starter attitude, who is highly motivated.

• Full-time, salaried position
• Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Own a vehicle for transportation to and from office/warehouse, vehicle provided for deliveries and pickups.

Salary: $37,500.00-$50,000.00 per year
