Warehouse Team Lead

Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. Loaves and Fishes is responsible for getting food to those who need it in Nanaimo and all across Vancouver Island. Our warehouse is the main hub of our operations. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate distribution of products. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Full availability is a MUST.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse processes and improve overall efficiency
- Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper procedures and safety protocols
- Monitor productivity and performance metrics to meet company goals
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the warehouse operations
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Experience:
- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for data analysis purposes
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Proven track record in process improvement initiatives within a warehouse setting

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
