Job description

ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is Edmonton’s largest disaster restoration franchise, offering 24 hour/365 day assistance to anyone in need after a disaster has occurred. ServiceMaster of Edmonton employees are committed to following strict standards in water removal, fire/smoke restoration, mold removal and other disaster restoration services.

ServiceMaster Restore of Edmonton is currently looking for a Warehouse/Consumables Coordinator to cover a 13 month leave.

Job Summary

  • Manage the reception, handling, distribution, and storage of all freight, product, and supplies that come in and out of warehouse.
  • Ensure all orders are shipped to customers in a timely manner in adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Communicate all delays or variances in inbound/outbound freight to the appropriate parties.
  • Maintain strict control over inventory levels in order to meet internal and external demand of product.
  • Plan warehouse layout and space requirements in order to prevent loss or damage, and to achieve full warehouse optimization.
  • Take into account full implications of freight turnover, size, weight, and other factors when allocating warehouse space.
  • Develop and/or enforce corporate policies regarding security and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain appropriate and complete documentation regarding regulated products and/or hazardous materials in conjunction with the Health & Safety Officer.
  • Conduct periodic spot-checks of inventory levels, supplies, or equipment in conjunction with department leads.
  • Assess the need for, and arrange the purchase of, moving equipment like trailers, forklifts, dollies, and so on.
  • Identify discrepancies between inventory records and take action.
  • Investigate causes of lost or damaged inventory and other matters; make adjustments where necessary.
  • Implement and monitor performance metrics for shipping and receiving.
  • Maintain warehouse and parking lots for cleanliness; recommend logistics improvements, equipment repairs and/or requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Warehouse Logistics or procurement considered an asset.
  • 4 year minimum of working in a warehouse facility preferably dealing in similar industry
  • Forklift operator certification
  • Efficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience working with various inventory systems

Certification

  • Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license required
  • CSTS
  • FORKLIFT
  • IICRC FIRE/WATER

Work Conditions:

Warehouse environment. Out of town work may be required for large losses and catastrophic events. CSA Steel toed boots/shoes are required.
