Tool Crib Attendant

Duties:

• Maintains and stores a variety of tools and equipment by means of in house repair or outsourcing.
• Distributes and tracks the usage of hand tools, supplies, and other equipment for shop and jobsite use.
• Assists in the mobilization and demobilization of in town and out of town jobsites.
• Performs regular safety checks on new/used incoming and outgoing equipment – checks for wear, defects, & damage.
• Receives inbound shipments and maintains documentation of goods.
• Performs some shop duties as required.
• Provides support to other departments when necessary.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years in a warehouse or shop environment.
• Forklift experience with certification would be considered an asset.
• Some computer knowledge - Microsoft programs: Excel, Outlook, Office
• Knowledge of heavy machinery, industrial tools, and safety equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Should be able to adapt to rapid changes in workflow due to operational requirements
• First Aid Ticket would be considered an asset.
• Experience with the repair of small tools and equipment would be an asset.

This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills to interact with employees at all levels within the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $24.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
