The Manager, Website provides strategic oversight and management to content and programming professionals on the Communications and Marketing (C&M) team. The Manager will have a deep understanding of web technologies, security, privacy, and trends and will effectively collaborate with key stakeholders to advance institutional strategic initiatives in a timely manner in order to promote and safeguard Saskatchewan Polytechnics brand and reputation. Additionally, the Manager will be responsible for the creation, implementation and sustainability of a governance structure for saskpolytech.ca and develop and vet associated policies and procedures to ensure a positive user experience. The position requires managing and coaching the web team for ongoing initiatives for Saskatchewan Polytechnics web presence and portal by considering the organizational strategy, business needs and technical requirements. Through this leadership, the Manager will be required to effectively manage people and projects by assessing, responding and addressing priorities that lead to and support efforts to market and recruit new students and retain existing ones. The Manager will also collaborate with both academic and administrative departments across multiple campuses and exercise a high degree of professional judgement with delegated authority on matters pertaining to effective reputational and brand management. Based in one of the four Saskatchewan Polytechnic campus locations, the Manager will function as the resident expert to all levels throughout the institution for all things pertaining to Sask Polytechs web presence. The Manager will be accountable for the strategies and will have independent authority for the management and training of others to ensure that Saskatchewan Polytechnic is equipped to achieve its mission of inspiring success in every learning journey.
