Weigh Scale Service Tech

Southern Scale Company Inc. is currently recruiting for the position of Weigh Scale Service Technician for our Lethbridge location. The successful applicant will preferably have at least 3 years working in the weighing industry, but this is a career opportunity, and we will invest in and train the right person. Successful applicant will be responsible for field service duties throughout Southern Alberta, working both independently and as a member of a team. We require individuals with a proven ability to self-manage, solve technical problems, and deliver results within established timelines.

Responsibilities:

· Perform service calls both in and out-of-town to install, repair, maintain, calibrate, and service weighing equipment.

· Follow accreditation procedures and safety policy, and demonstrate ISO procedures and field inspection procedures for calibration, inspection and testing of weighing devices.

· Troubleshoot load cells using a multi-meter.

· Set up and troubleshoot indicators using a multi-meter and simulator.

· Troubleshoot and calibrate both mechanical and digital scales.

· Produce calibration reports and final inspection papers.

· Set up printer interfaces.

· Train customers on proper operation of equipment.

· Maintain service vehicles, equipment, tools and PPE.

· Complete time records, work orders and logs each day and after each job.

Qualifications:

· 3 years of previous experience with industrial weighing equipment is an asset.

· Candidates with Measurement Canada Accreditation will be given priority.

· Class 3 Drivers License Q Endorsement with clean driving record.

· Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.

· Basic understanding of High School Math is required to become accredited by Measurement Canada.

· Must be available for travel within Southern Albera, Southeastern BC and Southwestern SK.

· Good verbal and written English communication skills.

· Good computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
