The təməsew̓txʷ Aquatic and Community Centre is a 10,644 square metre facility opening Spring 2024. This state of the art dual natatorium facility will be the first in Canada designed to achieve the Canadian Green Building Council Zero Carbon Building standard, LEED Gold standards and the first aquatic centre in North America to use a new innovative InBlue drum filtration system. Reporting to the Program Coordinator – Fitness, you will provide instruction in and monitor the safe use of equipment in the fitness centre while ensuring safety and cleanliness of the group fitness, indoor cycling and fitness centre equipment and spaces. Your core responsibilities include: Monitoring fitness areas to ensure patrons abide by rules and utilize equipment safely; respond to incidents and emergencies, provide first aid as needed and complete the correct documentation when necessary; provide high quality customer service; check spaces for safety and cleanliness and report any equipment that may need repairs to the supervisor team; communicate with the Fitness Supervisory team effectively; maintain a clean and welcoming environment; Complete shift and cleaning tasks, and documentation accordingly; provide orientations and direct instructions to patrons on the use of exercise equipment.
