Welder / Maintenance Technician

Your Challenge
Working as a Maintenance Technician, this position supports performing the preventative maintenance activities within the facility, completing various repair and maintenance projects and working on large projects with contractors as needed.
Job Description
-Will perform regular scheduled preventative maintenance (PM Program) for all stationary equipment, mobile plant equipment and building components at both Plant 1 and Plant 2, as required.  Will maintain all of the necessary records to support PM Program at Plant 1 and Plant 2. 
-Will perform service and repair to all plant equipment as required.  This may include stationary equipment, mobile plant equipment and building components at Plant 1 and 2, as required.    
-To be involved in the modification and fabrication of equipment to fit new production requirements and also assist in solving production issues. 
-Assist 3rd party contractors with troubleshooting, repairs or overhauls with existing or new equipment installations as required. 
-Complete all documentation related to the activities of the Department, including but not limited to preventative maintenance reports, service reports, inventory reports or request forms and daily activity reports. 
 
Skills & Qualifications
-Must be aware of all safety standards and requirements for maintenance work. 
-Have some experience in a manufacturing or related industry.  Previous experience with equipment used in the recycling industry and with related mobile equipment would be a definite asset. 
-Related technical school training.   
-Training as a welder/fabricator would also be an asset.  
-Experience in carpentry work. 
-Training is during days, shifts will be evening and nights.
