Responsibilities:
- Respond to wildland fire incidents and assist in fire suppression efforts
- Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and tools
- Construct fire lines, clear brush, and create fire breaks to control the spread of fires
- Conduct controlled burns to remove fuel sources and reduce fire risks
- Monitor fire behavior and report observations to supervisors
- Assist in post-fire rehabilitation and restoration efforts
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Wildland Firefighter is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of fire behavior, suppression techniques, and safety protocols
- Ability to work in physically demanding and high-stress environments
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to undergo training and obtain necessary certifications
