Woodworker/Carpenter

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Work on panel construction performing advanced woodworking determined by the Production Supervisor.

• DUTIES AND TASKS
• Read drawings and specifications and apply to their job.
• Full knowledge of materials.
• Work without supervision.
• Able to measure in both imperial and metric
• Build complex assemblies.
• Able to use woodworking tools such as routers, tablesaws and sanders

• REQUIREMENTS
• Education required: Secondary school with courses in woodworking/cabinetry
• Education preferred: Post-secondary diploma in carpentry/woodworking/cabinetry
• Experience required: Two years as a carpenter/woodworker

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES

• Must be fully conversant with woodworking techniques and skills.
• Must be able to work with in-house staff.
• Must be able to easily communicate with in-house staff, in English or French, so that work proceeds easily and is well done

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
