Job description:

Workforce Generation Supervisors plan and manage all aspects of human resources. This includes providing advice on staffing and ensuring staffing decisions follow Government of Canada policies.

Your work location would be one of our offices or bases in the Arctic. Please apply only if you are already living in, or willing to relocate to, the North.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising a Workforce Generation team of up to 10 members to help support employees and managers
  • Planning and implementing all aspects of human resources, including

o recruitment

o retention

o training and onboarding

o mental health and wellness

o awards and recognition

  • Advising on staffing and ensuring staffing decisions follow Government of Canada policies
  • Leading and participating in a variety of committees and working groups

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Secondary school diploma or a combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience in human resources, learning and development, diversity and inclusion, and/or wellness
  • Experience supervising employees
  • Experience working in the North or on Arctic-related files
  • Goal oriented, collaborative, with a strong work ethic
  • Enjoys leading a team

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
