As the P&OS Workforce Management Coordinator, you will oversee the programs, projects, and/or initiatives which support the achievement of Parks and Open Spaces staffing, learning and development, and/or personnel well-being and culture development goals and outcomes. Primary duties include:
- In collaboration with the Workforce Management Lead, this position will support POS leaders with their workforce needs in a thoughtful, purposeful way by providing strategic direction that considers the various lines of business within Parks and Open Spaces operations. Primary duties include:
- Working with POS operational leaders to perform operational staffing functions including staffing management, learning and development initiatives, and personnel well-being programming.
- Supporting the creation of annual work plans; reviewing and recommending staffing strategies for implementation; advise on gaps, business rules and compliance requirements of relevant collective agreements.
- Support applicable P&OS operational strategies.
- Support the implementation of the P&OS front-line leadership, well-being, and culture plan initiatives.
- Liaise and work closely with internal and external partners on P&OS initiatives.
- Support the creation and implementation of communication plans strategies on behalf of the Workforce Management portfolio.
Qualifications
- A degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources, Business Administration, Arts, or a related field and at least 5 years' experience with Workforce Management, learning and development, and/or staffing coordination in a large complex environment.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) and access to a personal vehicle for business use is required.
- Intermediate proficiency in MicroSoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- A CHRP designation is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of collective agreements, corporate policies and procedures, labour laws, and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) requirements would be considered assets.
- The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills, is a natural collaborator with strong business acumen, and a customer focus mindset.
- You will have excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and analytical skills.
