WSIB CLERK
SICK LEAVE AND DISABILITY, HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT
CUPE LOCAL 1328 OFFICE, CLERICAL AND TECHNICAL EMPLOYEES
Salary Range - Grade 5$1,902.43 - $2,187.41 biweekly
PLEASE NOTE: This is a temporary position until December 2025. The work schedule for this position is 12 months.

With a staff of 14,000, the Toronto Catholic is a dynamic school board and is seeking a temporary WSIB Clerk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma and supplementary courses in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum one (1) year related experience in the administration of Workers’ Compensation Benefits.
Proficiency in - MS Excel, Word and database applications
Experience in Parklane Software is an asset
SAP HR/Payroll experience is an asset
DUTIES:
Reporting to the Supervisor of the WSIB Unit, the primary responsibilities of this position are to:
Prepare “Employer’s Report of Injury/Disease” (Form 7) and other WSIB related forms by utilizing Parklane Software and Accident Investigation Reports (AIR)
Utilize SAP HR system to retrieve appropriate employee information including salary data as required to prepare “Employer’s Report of Injury/Disease” forms
Communicate with Principal/Department Head to clarify information reported on the Accident Investigation Reports or follow up for timely completion of reports
Conduct Telephone interviews with injured workers and prepare initial contact forms
Forward copies of the “Employer’s Report of Injury/Disease” to employees
Create individual files incorporating historical accident information related to WSIB and non-occupational injury/disease
Verify and process appropriate absence coding on SAP/SEMS to correspond the lost time from work
Forward Functional Abilities Forms to physicians
Process SAP coding changes upon receipt of decision letters from the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board
Maintain Excel spreadsheets of pay advances for year end T4 purposes and compare to SAP HR for absence coding or discrepancies.Process coding changes as required
Update all WSIB financial reports on Excel, and generate statistical reports as required
Prepare cheque requisitions for payments to the WSIB and other related charges
Identify discrepancies in invoices for the Unit Supervisor’s review
Follow up with the WSIB to obtain decision letters in a timely manner
Enter monthly statistical data (lost time days) on Parklane
Load WSIB cost files to Parklane database
Respond to in person and general phone inquiries
Filing, photocopying, sorting and distributing mail in the WSIB Unit
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
