As a Yard Support & Forklift Operator (Logistics Technician), you will support the Operations department in the logistics and shipping process by ensuring boats are prepared for shipping on time, assisting dealers and customers with trailer hook up and additional shipping requirements. Additional duties include basic yard maintenance and clean up.
What will you do?
- Assist with all outgoing logistics including:
- Load boats onto assigned trailers and perform QC inspections as outlined;
- Load completed boat/trailer units onto transport trucks as designated;
- Complete transport documentation as outlined by company procedure.
- Perform light facility and yard maintenance duties including:
- Pulling weeds, picking up litter, raking leaves and debris, and replacing light bulbs;
- Shovel snow from doorways and walk areas and sprinkle salt on surface;
- Involved in weekly facility lockup;
- Maintain yard organization such as moving parts to various locations and provide parts to Assembly department when requested;
- Assemble trailers to OEM specifications;
- Assist in trailer storage and inventory;
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead crane/chain hoist as required;
- Unload trucks with incoming freight as requested;
- Other duties as requested;
- Follow all applicable KingFisher Boats and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
What do you need to succeed?
- On the job training is provided;
- Forklift experience/certification is an asset;
- Ability to complete tasks of a physically demanding nature;
- High attention to detail is required in order to achieve quality standards;
- Shipping/logistics experience is an asset.

Working Conditions
- Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward;
- Exposure to factors such as temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort, high noise levels;
- Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed;
- Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.

- Day Shift - Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
