Overview of Position:

Cobra Enterprises is looking for an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Yard Personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle loading & unloading of products as directed
• Operate forklift, Skid steer, and telehandler.
• Support other functions departments where required.
• Always follow safe work practices.
• Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials.
• Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments. Relocate items within the warehouse or yard.
• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming arrivals and stack them to assigned places.
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
• Hauling, loading, and unloading freight vehicles using related equipment.
• Picking and packaging orders.
• Working in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence;
• Ability to organize and prioritize workloads;
• Forklift, Telehandler, and Skid steer experience
• Ability to do physical labour including lifting, carrying (over 50 Lbs.), bending repeatedly daily.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to perform at a high level in a fast paced, demanding working environment.
• Reliable vehicle is required, as this is a non-bus route.
• Experience and knowledge in this or a related industry is an asset.
• Experience and knowledge of construction materials.

Work conditions:

Ability to lift 80+ lbs, required safety equipment, hazards associated with the trade, work both indoors and outdoors, construction sites, noise, irregular hours.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
• Construction Yard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (required)
