Yard/Inventory Manager - Eckville
The Yard Manager is responsible for :
- Forklift load & unload, assist with shipping & receiving various equipment
- Move Heavy Equipment (Skid Steer, Loader, Trucks, etc.) around the yard and in/out of the shop
- Keep Yard organized and clean
- Inventory all equipment and fittings and know where they belong
- Put together equipment and fitting orders from inventory and prepare to load on trucks for upcoming jobs
- Assist mechanics as required
- Pressure wash equipment
- empty garbage cans into bins
- Parts runs - pickup and delivery as required
- General housekeeping duties within the shop & yard
- Ability to lift, push, pull or drag up to 100 lbs
- Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn
- Effective communication skills, in person and in writing
- Ability to shift roles and prioritize as necessary
- Efficiently work alone, in a team and under supervision
- Motivated, accountable, customer service oriented
- Attention to detail and time management
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License, clean abstract
- Servicing and maintaining skid steers, trailers, large water pumping equipment, heavy-duty equipment, light automotive, track machines and ATVs
- Keep informed of changes to industry standards
- Verify repairs and ensure they are completed and documented
- Responsible for daily job communications and documentation
- Maintain a safe and clear work environment
- Follow Torrent’s Procedures and Policies
- Ensure Torrent’s standards are being followed
Considered an Asset:
- Mechanically inclined
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Basic welding skills
- Ability to use power tools
- Oil & Gas Industry knowledge
- Ability to weld
- Knowledge and experience with wiring
- Ability to read and understand equipment and vehicle repair manuals
- Able to exert moderate to high physical effort for lifting heavy parts
- Attention to detail: for equipment maintenance and daily documentation
- Highly energetic, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to multi-task and prioritize with high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Experience servicing and maintaining stationary equipment
- Experience servicing and maintaining automotive and light duty equipment
- Able to work in a physically demanding environment and exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Safety oriented: Able to work safely and keep a clean work environment

- 8 hour days, 5 days a week expected. Overtime available daily if warranted and requested . Working up to days a week is possible.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
