Get immense satisfaction from setting and meeting goals for yourself?

Why join our team?

Our vision is to be the most trusted landscaping contractor in the Okotoks area and we’re proud of our reputation as a professional, talented and friendly team. Because we’re serious about the bold promises we make to our clients, we are pretty darn picky about who we hire. And once you’re in, we take care of you. If you're looking for landscaping jobs in Okotoks, this one's for you. If you're looking for skilled trades jobs in Okotoks, apply at Kayben Landscaping.

WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER:

  • Year-round work (you’re going to love our snow season guaranteed income program)
  • Hands-on training program to get you up to speed
  • Ongoing training and mentorship (we want you to level up quickly)
  • Career advancement opportunities (ask to see our career path when we meet)
  • A great reputation (we’re a company that you can be proud to represent. Check out our reviews)
  • Incredible coworkers that have each other’s back (you can ask our employees yourself)
  • Good equipment (we’ve heard that you like equipment that works properly)
  • A good safety program (we’re COR certified)
  • Health Benefits for permanent full-time employees
  • Challenging work (we work on a tight schedule and keep out commitments to clients)

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE…

  • A wide range of equipment operating experience such as: grading, trenching and earthworks.
  • Multiple skills in the construction industry (if you’ve done masonry, carpentry, excavating etc., you’d probably be a great Landscape Construction Technician)
  • Physical strength and stamina (it’s hard, outdoor work)
  • Ability to master new skills (this is a steep learning curve; you’d have to keep up!)
  • Ability to manage your own time efficiently (yeah, you have to adult without being supervised)
  • Problem solving & critical thinking skills (can you handle the unpredictable?)
  • Consistent, reliable transportation to our location (between Calgary and Okotoks)
  • Year-round availability (yes, that’s winter snow removal)

IN THIS ROLE YOU WOULD BE:

  • Constructing patios, decks and fences and other hardscape structures
  • Installing softscape elements
  • Installing underground sprinkler systems
  • Participating in morning meetings with the crew to discuss the jobsite hazards.
  • Continually improving your skills in operating frequently used tools and equipment
  • Participating in the care, cleaning & organizing of jobsites, equipment, tools and trucks
  • In a “state of planned readiness” during the winter months for snow removal work (with a guaranteed monthly income)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related construction or earthworks trade
  • Experienced in operating skid steers, mini excavator and other self-propelled equipment
  • Experienced in driving a truck and trailer
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina
  • Available year-round
  • Experience in snow removal (as a job, not for your neighbor)
