SCHEDULE/HRS: Flex Schedule // 37.5 hours per week
HOURLY WAGE: $27.29 as per collective agreement
The Role:
The Community Support Worker (CSW) position provides life skills training to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will teach life skills such as: achieving independence, obtaining identification, touring colleges, banking, applying for Persons with Disabilities Benefits, using transit and preparing for employment.

Requirements/Education/Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in area directly related to Social Services, Human Services, or Education.
- 1-2 years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities in vocational & community settings.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully implement instructional and proactive training programs for clie
- Working knowledge or experience designing and creating curriculum for people with disabilities
- Experience with principles of positive behavior management is preferred.
- Criminal Record Clearance
- Medical Clearance
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
- Class 5 Driver's License with the ability to obtain an unrestricted Class 4 Driver's License
- Valid First Aid/CPR
- Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
- Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication
- Basic computer literacy
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Position involves assisting clients with personal care needs
Training is provided for: Non-violent Crisis Intervention Certification
