Scope
We're looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals to spend the summer helping the City of Surrey in putting on great, inclusive Day Camps for children with disabilities. As a Community Service Assistant 2 - Day Camp One to One Support, you will be mainly responsible for providing support to children with disabilities attending Summer Day Camps. You will have excellent customer skills, high energy, and an enthusiastic approach to your work.
Responsibilities
- • Provide one-to-one support and adapt and modify activities as needed. • Provide one-to-one personal care and support for children with disabilities. • Help participants be safe and successful in a healthy environment. • Modify instruction and work with campers individually and in small groups to reinforce learning and skills, introduced by the leader. • General support in the delivery of Summer Day Camps. • Demonstrate effective leadership and teamwork skills
- • A current Emergency First Aid with CPR-C/AED certificate. • Completion of Grade 12. • Some experience working in community service. • Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Pay Grade: Schedule D
Hourly Rate: $23.85
Conditions of Employment
This position requires completion of a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
