Constant contact with different areas of ABB and with individuals within the company forms the basis for rapid career development.During the 18-month trainee program, you will pass through three stations in Germany and abroad: You will start in your target area in an agile software team in the Digital department. In the next station, you will have the opportunity to gain further experience in Operations, Service or in other Digital Teams - depending on your skills and interests. You can gain intercultural experience during a six-month stay abroad at one of our international locations.The Digital Team carries out customized monitoring and optimization projects at our customers' sites. In your first station you will become part of the team and learn how to successfully execute projects - from proposal preparation over project controlling to handover to the customer. You will experience direct communication with the customer, as well as be technically trained in our Software Solutions.

Your responsibilities

• Experience the workflows of an international company first-hand during three six-month assignments over the course of 18 months.
• Explore your interests and different functions/roles through challenging and influential assignments where you will be fully integrated into the team.
• Benefit from customized training and development opportunities, professional mentoring, exposure to senior leadership, and support from the Discovery Program team.
• Actively participate in various social events and team activities and take the opportunity to build a broad (global) network within ABB.
• Develop your strengths with the help of regular feedback on your performance goals.

Your background

• Successfully completed master's degree in the field of automation engineering, information technology or comparable
• Ideally internships / working student activities in the software environment, ideally knowledge in the power plant and energy sector
• First international experience in the context of an internship / semester abroad is an advantage
• Clear hands-on mentality with the self-conception to tackle and implement topics
• Personally, you are a team player and convince through commitment, communication skills and customer orientation
• Enjoy working in an international environment and intercultural exchange with colleagues
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
• Flexibility and mobility on an international level
