We are currently looking for Frontend Software Interns to join our growing Software Engineering team. Visible minority youth or youth with disabilities studying computer science, engineering, or other relevant fields are encouraged to apply.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about our frontend and general development processes and contribute to the development of our software, Get A-Head, which is currently written in Flutter (frontend) and NodeJS/SQL (backend). We also use other technologies such as Python and React for other application components, so knowledge or experience with these would also be valuable.
Additionally, Get A-Head will provide mentoring to support the growth of the youth’s career and development. Learning outcomes for this role are as follows: digital skills, problem-solving, collaboration, adaptability, technical skills, etc.
Required Skills:
- Good knowledge of scripting languages (Flutter, NodeJS, Python, etc)
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Proficient with git and git workflows
- Problem solving attitude
- Collaborative team spirit
