Are you a business banking and commercial financing expert who is passionate about growing and building client relationships? Be our new Account Manager - Business in our Kelowna and West Kelowna region. You will develop a positive and visible profile as a member of the business and professional community in this region and utilize your influence to promote and market Prospera's products and services.

What you'll do:

  • Initiate action for growth and development of an existing business loan and deposit portfolio by analyzing member needs, trends, competitor's offerings, cross selling, and pursuing new business by establishing and maintaining relationships with business community contacts.
  • Contact business owners and centers of influence to identify potential opportunities.
  • Complete due diligence and investigation; analyze and interpret financial data and other information; assess the value of collateral security; make recommendations for new loans, loan renewals and amendments within Prospera's lending policy and guidelines.
  • Negotiate loan terms, interest rates and fees relative to risk, needs of the borrower and cost of administration ensuring an appropriate return to Prospera.
  • Identify and process all documentation to prepare loan applications for adjudication, with support from the region's Business Credit Analyst.
  • Determine and recommend whether to retain, expand or de-market existing relationships based on analysis of credit risk, profit contribution and other considerations.
  • Refer members to Prospera's other lines of business and Prospera's external cash management partners.
  • Assist the Regional Director, Business Banking with projects and key initiatives.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • 5+ years of experience working in an Account Manager role in commercial lending/financing.
  • Exceptional business development and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in business ownership structures and business lending structures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, and financial ratios.
  • Expertise in investment real estate lending, risk assessments and mitigation.
  • Proven experience in reviewing and analyzing commercial appraisal and environmental reports.
  • Knowledge of statutory guidelines and regulations governing commercial lending.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and grow relationships with members, potential client and other stakeholders.
  • Proactive, results focused and self-motivated.

Salary: $77,850.00 to $95,150.00 per annum (Actual salary offered will be determined based on education, experience, and internal equity).
