Job overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant - Accounts Receivable will be responsible for performing Accounts Receivable data processing, account reconciliations and assisting the Finance Department with daily accounting duties. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring approximately 40 hours per week.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Entry of Accounts Receivable receipts

· Prepare deposits and reconciling daily cash sales

· Assist with customer inquiries on invoices

· All follow up and collection activities

· Sending customer statements

· Assist with month end close and reporting

· Preparing Accounts Receivable schedule

· Assist in the preparation of process documentation

· Provide input and help implement best practices in finance operations

· Other accounting duties as required

Qualifications

· Diploma in Finance/Accounting

· 5+ years of accounting experience

· Strong attention to detail, organization skills

· Effective communication skills

· Proficient with Excel

· Experience with Encompass would be an asset

Working conditions

The Accountant will work primarily in an office environment.
