Description
This position supports the mandate of the organization through assisting with the accounting and financial services of Regina Housing. This position is responsible for accurately verifying and processing large volumes of financial transactions of both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Collect, record, monitor, analyze, and report on a large amount of financial data
Count and balance cash against receipts
What youll need
A certificate, diploma, or degree in accounting combined with 2-3 years accounting work experience.
Analytical abilities: You know how to think critically and strategically to predict and identify errors and issues. You know which questions to ask to get to the heart of a problem
Attention to detail: You perform all tasks with care and thoroughness and you take pride in ensuring the work you hand in is correct
Communication Skills: You are professional and friendly and can communicate effectively over the phone and over email
Computer Skills: you are confident with all Microsoft products including Excel and you pick up new computer applications easily. Experience with JDEdwards is considered an asset.
Time Management and Initiative: you know how to prioritize a large workload and can easily identify the tasks that should be completed first. You take responsibility for your projects and do what needs to be done without being prompted
