Job Title: Accounting Lead (Payroll Administrator)

About this Role:

The Accounting Lead (Payroll Administrator) is responsible for managing the day-to-day full-cycle accounting including AR, AP, and payroll management. This role involves knowing how to meet all the financial needs of the organization, identifying gaps and implementing financial procedures, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and contributing to overall financial health. The Accounting Lead (Payroll Administrator) will play a key role in maintaining compliance, enhancing efficiency, and supporting the company's financial objectives. This role will also be responsible for overseeing aspects of IT and related systems and relationships with external parties.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Lead (Payroll Administrator) at Tenfold HR Solutions, you will be responsible for:

Accounting Operations:

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and AR/AP management.

Payroll:

  • Responsible for payroll preparation and processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.

Financial Analysis:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, spreadsheets, and reports to support decision-making.
  • Proactively engage in thorough financial analysis, supporting the organization by consistently reviewing financial data, providing insightful recommendations, and contributing to strategic decision-making processes based on a comprehensive understanding of the company's financial landscape.

Timesheet and Data Management:

  • Review timesheets, verify correctness, and ensure accuracy in the invoicing process.
  • Manage job costing & resourcing spreadsheets, including mid- and end-of-month reconciliation.

Bookkeeping and Client Relations:

  • Provide bookkeeping support, including invoicing, payment processing, and client communications when needed.
  • Perform weekly bank deposits and update client information in internal systems.

Administrative Support:

  • Support Leadership and Operations teams in various administrative functions, including onboarding/offboarding and project management.

Project Management:

  • Lead initiatives related to finance, accounting, and administrative projects, starting with a PSA System implementation.

Client and Vendor Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with clients and vendors, ensuring effective communication and addressing financial inquiries.

Compliance and Asset Management:

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, including taxes and GST requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain accurate records of company assets, implementing efficient tracking processes.

IT Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with our external IT provider to support technology-related initiatives.

The Ideal Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting and administrative roles.
  • Experience in preparing and processing payroll.
  • Strong data entry skills and advanced proficiency in QuickBooks & Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (High experience in pivot tables).
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field.
