Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our Office Administrator who is responsible for some accounting duties.
Pollock Clinics also has an international franchise business and there is long term opportunity associated with this position to support franchise operations which are expected to grow significantly over the next 3 years.
This position reports directly to our COO who is an experienced finance executive and this role will appeal to a finance and accounting professional seeking growth and personal development.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Quickbooks Online.
- Manage the revenue recognition process and oversee the collection of invoices and the depositing of receipts.
- Manage Office Administrator who is responsible for accounts payable data entry, ensuring timely payments of valid business expenses and maintaining accurate records .
- Manage the timely completion of GST/HST, PST, EHT and WSBC filings.
- Monitor company expenditures, ensure compliance with budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage employee expenses, ensuring adherence to company policies and timely reimbursements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and revision of company budgets and financial forecasts.
- External auditors main point of contact for tax and audit related matters.
- Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals.
There may also be additional administrative and operational duties from time to time.
Education and Experience:
- Post secondary degree or diploma in accounting or related field
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- CPA designation preferred but not absolutely required for the right candidate.
