Accounting Manager

We are seeking An Accounting Manager to join our team based out of our manufacturing plant in Abbotsford, BC.

Responsibilities

• Monthly variance analysis from budget
• Co-ordinate and follow up on all year end auditor requests.
• Manage financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable. This will include invoicing customers, following up on collections, supporting and reviewing A/P.
• Coach team members, including review and approval of work assignments and training requirements of the team including completion of regular performance review
• Oversee the development of working papers and excel spreadsheets to facilitate the preparation of budgets
• Collection and analysis of historical data to be used in the budget process
• Preparation of commissions for review
• Accomplish tasks on time and contribute to the team by taking on special projects as needed
• The point person for any accounting queries both internal and external.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
• Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role
• Minimum 5+ years working experience in accounting required
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail
• Ability to adapt to and learn new software
• Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures

Wage 85,000-90,000 yr
