Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Remote, WFH

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Generate financial reports for management review and analysis.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Develop and monitor budgets for construction projects.
• Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.
• Analyze variances and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Review and approve vendor invoices and employee expense reports.
• Monitor cash flow and oversee collections activities.
• Coordinate payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
• Administer employee benefits programs and liaise with benefits providers.
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws.
• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff members.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• CPA certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
